Over the past decade, Sirti alumni have attracted millions of dollars in add-on investments and grants. These funds have flowed to more than a couple successful companies. Nearly all of the companies awarded DARPA grants, that are still in business, have received add-on funding. The sources are Federal and private, including Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants, angel and venture investments.

And the majority of the total has occurred over the past three years. For most Sirti alumni, it has taken several years before significant, private add-on investment occurred. Recently, the average size of these flows to Sirti alumni has sharply increased, due to large venture capital investment and some large Federal grants.
